Ali Harnell is a woman tasked with a huge feat - to tackle issues of gender inequality and sexism in the live music business. Ali is heading to BIGSOUND to provide a rare glimpse into her job as Live Nation Women President & Chief Strategy Officer, and the female-centric commercial initiatives she is spearheading to recognise misogyny and enhance gender equality within both music and the corporate world. With almost three decades of promoting experience under her belt, dominating the country music scene, Ali is revered as a prominent figure in the global music industry.
Ali produced Oprah’s 2020 Vision Tour, Katie Couric’s “Going There” book tour, as well as commissioning and executive producing the Grammy nominated song 'A Beautiful Noise', recorded by Alicia Keys and Brandi Carlile to celebrate women’s suffrage and the fight for social justice. Listed as a seven-time Billboard Women in Music honouree, a five-time Billboard Nashville Power Player, and named on the Nashville Business Journal “Women in Music City” list multiple times, Ali is raising important issues within the industry to create industry opportunities for women across the world, and develop the next generation of female leaders.
Ali is joined by Brag Media's Poppy Reid for this in conversation.
