#Details

Violence prevention and training is something all industries stand to benefit from and should be implementing into their daily operations. The music industry has a history of being slow to act when it comes to the protection of victims; on a structural and cultural level, the music industry has a lot to answer for, as artists and professionals now find their power in speaking up about issues of trauma, marginalisation and abuse in the workplace.

Matt Brown from She Is Not Your Rehab leads this unmissable BIGSOUND discussion. Leading from the front in the field of bystander training and violence prevention, Brown is changing mindsets: bystander training can actually be leadership training and with regards to the music industry, these advocates will discuss new steps everyone can take to become more aware of unsafe and potentially dangerous situations and what we can do should we find ourselves in a position to prevent them.

Presented by MATE and Queensland Government through Office for Women and Violence Prevention.
