#About

Denise’s career has spanned 4 decades of working in the creative industries. From the world of work, Denise has gained a wealth of experience and expertise: from gigging musician to 2,000-seater venue manager; from community development worker for youth offenders to executive development and consultant for creative industries companies; from public policy researcher on developing talent pipelines in London and beyond to innovating secondary, tertiary, community and professional education programs; from leading international projects to participating at global events. Her work is focused on recognising strategic peer-to-peer learning and development within the global creative industries that can deliver validation at both an individual and an industry sector level. She also currently holds a position as the Head of R&D and Knowledge Exchange at ACM. She recently designed their new undergraduate and the postgraduate programme which are validated by Middlesex University. This provides the optional certification route for professional practice frameworks, such as the CLOCK programme and was designed to bridge non-formal to formal education in both directions, from education into work or communities and from work or communities into education.
