Born and bred in Melbourne's north, Matthew Craig is the co-founder of and director of content at AUD'$ (AU Dollars) - Australia's Hip-Hop Connect - for whom he has conducted over 100 major interviews with the likes of Brent Faiyaz, Isaiah Rashad, and Ari Lennox, while also providing the earliest coverage of domestic names including The Kid LAROI., Kwame and Mason Dane. A partner at creative hub Marshall Street Studios, and a recording artist himself, Matthew is driven by a mission to see diverse individuals and communities represented at all levels, owing to his mixed Sri Lankan / Italian heritage.
Originally a lawyer by trade, Matthew now operates in many roles including as a music publicist for the likes of HP Boyz, and youth worker at the Centre For Multicultural Youth. His career achievements include guest-hosting the Triple J Hip-Hop Show, and recently formulating an official partnership between AUD'$ and TikTok, curating a hub on the platform to showcase the best emerging Australian hip-hop and R&B talent.
