Tim Shiel

Tim Shiel is a musician and radio broadcaster based in Naarm/Melbourne, whose lush and hyper-detailed electronic music blurs the lines between dance music, ambient & pop.  His technicolour production style and wide-eyed approach has seen him work with some of Australia’s most creative artists, including Mindy Meng Wang 王萌, Genesis Owusu & Flight Facilities.  He has performed on some of the world’s biggest stages (Coachella, Sydney Opera House, Saturday Night Live) as part of Gotye's global Making Mirrors tour, and his deeply thoughtful soundtracks for indie video games Duet and The Gardens Between have found him international acclaim and even a spot onstage with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra.  Tim is also the host of Double J's Arvos program, and has been championing creative and independent music on radio across Double J, triple j & 3RRR for many years.
