Elise manages Australian R&B artist Budjerah, under Lemon Tree Music.
Having worked across multiple facets of the entertainment industry over a span of 7+ years, her roles have included Artist Manager, Director of Talent Agency, Producer (Live Events), Head of Programming (Live Music), Stage Manager, Artist Liaison and Touring Administration (contracts + admin). Elise has a particular interest in live performance and has worked across a wide range of shows, from intimate venues to stadium-scale special events and festivals..
In her current role at Lemon Tree Music, Elise has worked with Budjerah since his debut release in 2020, Missing You from his self-titled EP. Since then, she has managed multiple releases including a live version of the EP (feat. Matt Corby, Ngaiire, JK-47 & Ainslie Wills), Stranger Love with PNAU, his sophomore EP Conversations; and most recently, his single Ready for the Sky and a remix of Ed Sheeran’s single 2Step – on which Budjerah wrote a verse and featured. The remix has been added to every commercial radio station in Australia and made it to #5 on the Australian Radio Chart.
At just 20 years old, Budjerah has already been awarded an ARIA (Michael Gudinski’s award for Breakthrough Artist) of five nominations, a NIMA (Best New Talent) and most recently an APRA award for Most Played R&B track for his song Higher.
In May, Elise toured with Budjerah as he embarked on first international run of dates including headline dates, the Great Escape Festival (UK) and Vance Joy supports across the UK, Europe, USA and Canada. Prior to taking on Budjerah full time, Elise also managed singer-songwriter and platinum award winning producer Garrett Kato, who streams over 1 mil monthly Spotify listeners and who is booked out months in advance for production & mixing services.
Elise began her time in the Australian music industry as an intern at music sync house Mana Music, prior to working at 123 Agency. At 123, she managed contracts and administration for the full roster, which at the time included artists Tash Sultana, The Veronicas and Ocean Alley. Following her time at the agency, Elise worked at Ministry of Entertainment (Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance) as Director of the Talent Agency and Producer (live events) for clients including Channel Nine, Southern Cross Austereo, Australian Radio Network, Tourism Australia, SBS, ABC, David Atkins Enterprises and the AFL. Elise led the live music programming team for festival White Night 2018 which won the National Award for Best Achievement in Entertainment at the 2018 Australian Event Awards. She also worked as Head of Programming (Live Music) artist liaison and stage manager across both Melbourne and Regional events in 2018-2019.
This year, Elise was nominated for AAM Breakthrough manager of the year and is currently partaking the co-pilot management development program delivered by AAM in partnership with Spotify and MMF Aeotearoa.
