Luke O'Connor is National Mental Health and Wellbeing Manager at Support Act, the Australian music industry's charity, following nearly a decade as founder of talent agency Lark Music and a lifetime as a professional songwriter and performer. Luke has worked locally and abroad in the alcohol and other drug, mental health and primary healthcare sector, and at national sports and arts charity, Reclink.
In Luke's role at Support Act he has has played a key role in undertaking an Australian first study into the mental health and wellbeing of people who work in music, delivered a world-first conference on mental health and wellbeing in music, and driven the development of Support Act's prevention, education and training programs for music workers.
